Bring me a higher love

James Vincent Mc Morrow.. Now I did a post about this guy before. It was about his rendition of Wicked Game, only the best song EVER. And now I stumbled upon this beautiful, heart felled version of the 80's classic by Steve Winwood.. And it's all I need tonight. And it's everything I want to hear when I fall asleep in a minute. xx

"Higher Love"

Think about it, there must be higher love
Down in the heart and in the stars above,
Without it, life is wasted time.
Look inside your heart, I'll look inside mine

Things look so bad everywhere
In this whole world, what's fair?
We walk blind and we try to see
Falling behind in what could be.

Bring me a higher love
Bring me a higher love,
Bring me a higher love
Where's this higher love, I've been thinking of?

Worlds are turning and we're just hanging on
Facing our fear, standing out there alone
Oh a yearning, and it's real for me
There must be someone who's feeling for me

Things look so bad everywhere
In this whole world, what's fair?
We walk blind and we try to see
Falling behind in what could be

Bring me a higher love
Bring me a higher love,
Bring me a higher love
Where's this higher love, I've been thinking of?

I will wait for it, I'm not too late for it
Until then, I'll sing my song
To cheer the night along

I could light the night up with my soul on fire
I could make the sun shine from pure desire
Let me feel the love come over me
Let me feel how strong it can be

Bring me a higher love
Bring me a higher love, oh
Bring me a higher love
I could rise above for this higher love.

Stone washed

See, I'm not much of a 'D(o) I(t) Y(ourself) - er.. But sometimes I see something, be it on Instagram, Facebook or one of the many (many) blogs I follow, and I just HAVE TO MAKE IT. Now I don't remember where I saw this, but I do remember falling in love with the combination of a denim shirt (preferably designed for a man, so you get that nice nonchalant over sized look) and cute girly stones and buttons (okay, and studs). The trick is easy: find a shirt (heck steal it from your man), run down to the old lady's knitting store, and get busy.

Make sure the shirt has a spacious and thick collar

Fabric glue works like a charm

The finished look

Look at me, all sparkly and happy because I can DO IT MYSELF. C ya ladies!
